This week I am away at a writers’ retreat on the beautiful shores of Lake Champlain, organized by my fellow writer-friend, Kate Messner. If you haven’t yet discovered her books, you should. She’s an extremely multitalented writer.
There are about twenty other children’s book writers here. We write all day, and then have dinner together. It’s pretty awesome. Above is the view out of my window.
I drove up with Sarah Darer Littman and Nora Baskin, in Sarah’s snazzy, sporty, convertible. We rode with the top down. Here’s Sarah, demo-ing her James Bond car.
And here’s the lodge. We have the entire place to ourselves.
